Laser Hair Removal
Laser hair removal should be personalised according to your skin phototype, hair type, sun exposure and individual sensitivity. During the consultation, we choose the most suitable platform together: Soprano Ice Titanium or Alexandrite Candela.

Eden’s main advantage is the availability of two different platforms dedicated to each patient’s specific needs.
The Benefits of Laser
Safe and effective technology
Soprano Ice Titanium and Alexandrite Candela are used by our therapists, who are experienced with both hair-removal platforms, adapting treatment to all skin phototypes and seasons.
Reduction of ingrown hairs
Laser hair removal is one of the available options and certainly the most comfortable, offering smoother skin, longer-lasting results and savings in time and money.
Long-term hair reduction
Laser hair removal aims for long-term hair reduction. Results depend on the area, hair, phototype and individual factors; maintenance sessions may be needed. Benefits, limitations and risks are discussed before treatment.
How Laser Works
During the consultation with the doctor, a personalised treatment plan is created, taking into account your skin phototype, hair type and sun exposure.
Soprano Ice Titanium has a cooled treatment head, while Alexandrite Candela has a unique dynamic cooling device that helps soothe, soften and protect the skin, making treatment comfortable.
Laser hair removal progressively reduces hair. From the first session, hair should become finer, sparser and slower to grow.
As hairs are in different growth phases, we recommend an average of 8 sessions, spaced 4–6 weeks apart.
However, the response is individual and varies not only between patients but also between different areas in the same patient.
Preparation
Preparing the hair
Several weeks should have passed since you last removed hair from the root, allowing all hairs to regrow. Make sure the treatment area is shaved or trimmed using another cutting method so that no hair is visible (24 hours beforehand). This makes hair removal more effective and comfortable. Throughout the treatment course, hair should be trimmed when needed, but not removed from the root.
Products to avoid
Avoid applying deodorants, body oils and moisturiser to the treatment area. Avoid vitamin A/retinol products in the area for several days beforehand. Avoid artificial tanning products, such as self-tanning cream, for 2 weeks beforehand.
Sun exposure and tanning
Allow 2 weeks before treatment if you have had direct sun exposure (any tanning or active sunlight exposure, with or without SPF). Avoid sunbeds for 4 weeks beforehand. Avoid tanning drugs such as Melanotan II for 6 months beforehand.
Skin treatments
Avoid skin treatments in the treatment area, such as needling, chemical peels and resurfacing procedures, as well as advanced brightening, cleansing and anti-ageing peels.
Aftercare
After hair removal, follow the instructions provided for your area. You are usually advised to avoid makeup for 24 hours and, for around two days, very hot showers, saunas, steam, strenuous exercise, rubbing and tight clothing that irritates the skin. For the first three days, use the recommended moisturising products and avoid vitamin A, retinoids and other active products. Gentle exfoliation after day five should be done only if the skin has settled and the clinic has recommended it. Do not pull out hairs; let them shed naturally. Limit direct sun exposure and use SPF every day.

FAQs
Have a question that is not listed below? Visit our Frequently Asked Questions page for more answers and information about our full range of laser, skin, body and cosmetic procedures.
What should I do to prepare for my laser hair-removal appointment?
Avoid plucking hair before treatment. The necessary interval after your last waxing or tweezing is determined during consultation so hair can be properly assessed and treated.
Trim hair in the treatment area according to the instructions given during consultation. A razor is usually used; shaving timing is adjusted to the area and skin sensitivity.
Proper preparation helps the procedure be performed more comfortably and according to the selected protocol.
Between sessions, hair may be trimmed as instructed, but plucking should be avoided.
Avoid applying deodorants, body oils and moisturiser to the treatment area.
During consultation, tell us if you use retinol, vitamin A products or other active products in the treatment area. Follow the individual instructions for pausing and restarting them.
Allow 2 weeks before treatment if you have had direct sun exposure (any tanning or active sunlight exposure, with or without SPF).
Avoid artificial tanning products, such as self-tanning cream, for 2 weeks beforehand.
Avoid sunbeds for 4 weeks beforehand.
Avoid skin treatments in the treatment area, such as needling, chemical peels and resurfacing procedures, as well as advanced brightening, cleansing and anti-ageing peels.
Avoid tanning drugs such as Melanotan II for 6 months beforehand.
Which skin types can receive laser hair removal?
Technology and settings are selected according to skin phototype, hair colour and thickness. Suitability is assessed individually before treatment.
The clinic uses two hair removal platforms: Soprano Ice Titanium, which may also be considered for more deeply pigmented skin types, and Alexandrite Candela, which is generally better suited to lighter skin. The choice follows assessment of skin type, tanning, hair and the area.
The team uses the Fitzpatrick classification to assess skin phototype and adapt treatment technology and settings.
Sun exposure and tanning may change the condition of the skin between sessions. Tell the team about these changes so the plan and settings can be reassessed before each treatment.
How often should I have laser hair removal?
Sessions may be planned at intervals of 4–6 weeks or on a different schedule, depending on the area, hair cycle and skin response. The face may require a different plan from the body.
Facial and body hair have different growth cycles, so reduction develops gradually. A plan may include around 8 sessions, but the number is not the same for everyone and some areas may require additional treatments or maintenance. Progress is reassessed during the course.
However, as everyone is unique, we assess all clients individually. During your free consultation, your therapist will discuss a schedule suited to your desired results.
Does laser hair removal hurt?
Skin cooling helps maintain comfort during laser hair removal. You may feel warmth or a stinging sensation; sensitivity varies by person and area.
During treatment, you may feel warmth or a stinging sensation. Its intensity varies according to the area, technology and individual sensitivity.
Both platforms use cooling during treatment to improve comfort. Cooling does not eliminate the possibility of sensitivity or side effects.
Do you offer numbing treatment for laser hair removal?
Do not use numbing cream on your own initiative. The need for local anaesthesia is assessed by the professional according to the area and sensitivity; the product and usage instructions must be followed precisely. High-strength creams or those used over large areas may cause serious complications.
Which laser hair-removal machines do you use?
The main advantage of laser hair removal at Eden is the availability of two different platforms dedicated to this process and adapted to each of our patients.
During the consultation with the doctor, we assess which of the two platforms is better suited to your skin and hair.
How long should I wait between laser hair-removal appointments?
Depending on your hair and skin type and the area treated, you will usually need treatments at intervals of 4–6 weeks. Each part of the body has a different hair-growth cycle, so shedding varies according to the phase your follicles are in at the time of treatment.
What is the minimum age for laser hair removal?
Suitability is assessed individually according to age, hair type, area and hormonal condition. There is no single age that guarantees optimal results.
In younger people, hormonal changes may affect hair growth and the number of sessions. The treatment decision and expectations are discussed individually.
For people under 18, a parent or guardian must attend the consultation and first treatment. The parent or guardian must understand the procedure and aftercare and sign the consent form.
Is it allowed during pregnancy?
If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, inform the clinic and consult your doctor. Safety data for aesthetic procedures during these periods are limited; treatment may be postponed according to individual assessment.
Can I have laser hair removal if I have epilepsy?
People with epilepsy are advised to consult their doctor about laser hair removal. Medical approval from their doctor is required before treatment begins. We also offer different protective-eyewear options to ensure your safety throughout treatment.
Can I have laser hair removal while taking certain medications?
Some medications may cause skin photosensitivity and affect the skin’s response to treatment. These include, but are not limited to, oral and topical vitamin A, antibiotics and some antidepressants. Specific medication use is reviewed during the initial consultation.
Can I have laser hair removal over tattoos?
No, unfortunately we cannot treat over tattoos with our laser. We can treat around tattooed areas, leaving a 3 cm margin.
