Hyaluronic Acid Fillers in Tirana for Lips and Facial Contouring

Hyaluronic acid fillers are injectable treatments that may improve lip shape, restore lost volume, balance the chin and cheeks, define the jawline or soften selected static wrinkles. At Eden Laser Clinic in Tirana, each treatment follows individual anatomy, facial proportions, tissue quality and goals.

Lip injection procedure at Eden Laser Clinic

Every face does not need to follow the same model. A conservative approach aims for harmony and natural movement, using only the area, product and amount needed. Filler is a medical procedure and requires consultation and information about benefits, limitations and risks.

What is hyaluronic acid filler?

Hyaluronic acid occurs naturally in the body, including skin and connective tissues. Dermal fillers formulate it as an injectable gel with softer or more structural characteristics according to area and purpose.

Filler is different from Botox. It adds or restores volume within a specific anatomical plane, while botulinum toxin temporarily reduces selected muscle activity. Volume-loss folds and expression-related dynamic wrinkles therefore require different assessments.

Planning a facial injection

How it works and its limitations

Injected gel occupies a controlled volume and may support or contour tissue. Hyaluronic acid binds water, so initial swelling may make the area look fuller than the settled result.

Filler does not stop ageing, lift every face like surgery or correct every skin concern. Significant sagging, dynamic wrinkles, poor skin quality or complex volume loss may need other treatments or a combination.

When results begin and how long they may last

Volume changes are immediate, but the final result cannot be judged in the first minutes. Swelling and bruising may temporarily alter shape. Assessment follows settling, often around two weeks, according to area and individual response.

Duration depends on product, area, amount, tissue movement and metabolism. Some HA fillers last several months; more structural products in certain areas may last longer. Expected duration for your product and area is explained during consultation.

Areas that may be treated with filler

Lip filler

Lip filler may improve shape, contour, symmetry and volume or restore lost volume. Not every treatment needs 1 ml and not every lip suits the same technique. Lip structure, upper-to-lower lip balance, profile and movement are assessed before injection.

A gradual approach can be particularly useful for a first treatment or thin tissue. Swelling is common and may be uneven in the first days; it should not immediately be mistaken for the final result.

Cheek filler and volume loss

Support in the midface can change over time. Cheek filler may restore selected volume, improve contours and balance the profile. Treatment is tailored to preserve natural proportions and expression.

Chin and jawline filler

Chin filler may alter projection and profile balance, while jawline filler may improve definition in selected candidates. Filler does not remove chin fat or correct substantial sagging. Another procedure may be more appropriate in those cases.

Nasolabial folds and marionette lines

Folds from nose to mouth and lines near lip corners reflect anatomy, expression, volume loss and tissue changes. Direct filling is not always the only solution; midface support or a combined plan may need consideration.

Temples and under-eye area

Temples and tear troughs are anatomically complex. Under-eye shadows do not always reflect volume loss; pigment, vessels, bags and laxity may not improve with filler. Treatment requires careful selection and a practitioner with advanced anatomical knowledge.

Nose filler — selected cases only

Nose filler may camouflage some profile irregularities by adding volume, but does not make the nose smaller, improve breathing or replace rhinoplasty. The nose has high vascular risk, so treatment requires careful anatomical assessment and discussion of alternatives and risks.

How is the procedure performed at Eden Laser Clinic?

01

Consultation and treatment plan

The consultation covers concerns, expectations and medical history. The face at rest and in movement, symmetry, skin and tissues are assessed. Disclose allergies, medicines, supplements, autoimmune conditions, infections, dental problems, herpes and previous injections.

Your practitioner explains the product, area, proposed amount, alternatives, side effects and risks beforehand. You may ask to see sealed packaging and receive the product name, batch number and expiry date.

02

During injection

The area is cleaned and disinfected. Depending on product and area, anaesthetic cream, incorporated lidocaine or another comfort technique may be used. Filler is injected with a needle or cannula into defined anatomical planes. Duration varies with area numbers and plan complexity.

03

Post-procedure assessment

Skin colour, perfusion, symmetry and local response are checked immediately afterwards. Standard photographs help comparison. Your practitioner determines follow-up timing; adjustments should not be rushed while swelling remains active.

Recovery and filler aftercare

Swelling, redness, tenderness and bruising are common. Intensity varies by area; lips usually swell more than some other areas. Many people quickly resume usual activities, but allow for possible swelling or bruising over several days.

Do not touch or massage the area without guidance, or apply makeup to injection sites until allowed. Avoid intense exercise, heat, saunas and alcohol for the advised period. Discuss timing for dental work, vaccines or other treatments beforehand. Do not stop prescribed medicines, including blood thinners, without consulting the prescribing doctor.

Instructions depend on product, area and your history. Always follow the practitioner’s post-procedure protocol.

Filler or another treatment?

Filler or Botox

Filler addresses volume and structural support. Botox mainly addresses dynamic muscle-related wrinkles, such as some forehead and eye-area lines. Read more about Botox in Tirana.

Filler or Skin Booster

Filler contours or restores volume; Skin Booster targets hydration and skin quality with more superficial microinjections. For radiance and hydration without contour changes, Skin Booster may be more appropriate.

Filler or Sculptra

HA filler provides immediately visible volume. Sculptra is a biostimulator whose effects develop gradually through collagen stimulation. These products are not interchangeable and are not dissolved in the same way.

Frequently asked questions about filler

What is hyaluronic acid filler?

It is an injectable gel for adding or restoring volume, contouring facial areas and softening selected static wrinkles. Product and technique depend on area and anatomy.

How long does filler last?

Duration varies with product, area, amount and metabolism. HA fillers are temporary; some last several months, while others in less mobile areas may last longer.

When is the final result visible?

Volume is immediate, but swelling may alter shape. Results are assessed once the area settles, often around two weeks, according to area and practitioner guidance.

How long does swelling last after lip filler?

Swelling is usually most noticeable in the first days and gradually reduces. Temporary asymmetry is possible. Contact the clinic immediately for increasing pain or skin colour changes.

0.5 ml or 1 ml for lip filler?

There is no universal amount. Anatomy, previous treatment, goals and tissue capacity determine it. A gradual approach may be more suitable than a large volume in one session.

Is filler painful?

Stinging, pressure or brief burning may occur. Anaesthetic cream or a lidocaine-containing product may be used. Sensitivity depends on area and individual.

Will I look swollen or unnatural?

Initial swelling is possible. An unnatural result may reflect overcorrection, unsuitable product or technique, or repeated treatment without reassessment. A conservative approach reduces risk but cannot support absolute promises.

Filler or Botox for forehead wrinkles?

Forehead wrinkles are often dynamic and may be considered for Botox rather than routine filler. The choice follows professional assessment of cause and anatomy.

Can filler be performed in summer?

Yes; the season is not an automatic contraindication. Swelling, heat exposure and individual instructions must be managed. Also read about summer dermato-aesthetic treatments.

When can I have dental treatment after filler?

Discuss planned dental work before injection. Timing is determined during consultation according to area, dental procedure and individual history.

Can I go to the gym after filler?

Intense exercise is usually avoided during the initial advised period because it may increase swelling or bruising. Follow specific practitioner guidance.

Can I massage the area?

Do not massage without guidance. Some products or complications require specific action, but uncontrolled massage is not universal advice.
