Nd 1064 Laser Treatment for Visible Capillaries and Spider Veins in Tirana

LP Nd 1064 treatment in Tirana is a vascular laser procedure for visible capillaries, telangiectasias, spider veins and selected reticular veins on the face or legs. Energy targets and controllably heats the vessel, encouraging gradual closure while preserving surrounding tissue as far as possible.

Nd 1064 Laser for Visible Capillaries and Spider Veins in Tirana — Eden Laser Clinic

Eden Laser Clinic uses the Cooled Long Pulsed Nd 1064 nm applicator on the Harmony XL PRO platform. The 1064 nm wavelength reaches deeper vessels than many surface technologies, while cooling helps protect the epidermis and improve comfort.

Every treatment begins with a consultation. Vessel type, diameter and depth, skin phototype, area and symptoms determine whether laser is appropriate and which settings to use.

What is LP Nd 1064?

LP means long-pulsed. Nd 1064 nm is a wavelength widely used in vascular treatment because it can penetrate deeper into the skin and target haemoglobin within blood vessels.

This applicator should not be confused with ClearLift. Both may use a 1064 nm wavelength on Harmony XL PRO, but ClearLift uses very short Q-switched pulses for skin renewal. LP Nd uses longer pulses to heat selected vessels.

How does Nd laser work on blood vessels?

Selective photothermolysis

Haemoglobin in the vessel absorbs laser energy and converts it into heat. Controlled heating coagulates the target vessel. Over time it closes and is gradually absorbed by the body, becoming less visible at the skin surface.

Pulse duration, energy and spot size are selected according to vessel diameter, colour and depth, phototype and area. Settings are tailored to each patient.

Controlled skin cooling

The cooled applicator reduces surface heat and makes treatment more tolerable. Cooling reduces risk but does not eliminate redness, blisters, pigment changes or other side effects. Skin assessment and appropriate settings remain essential.

Which vascular concerns can be treated?

Facial capillaries and telangiectasias

LP Nd may treat visible vessels around the nose, cheeks, chin and other facial areas. Larger or deeper vessels may respond better to 1064 nm, while another technology may be recommended for very superficial, diffuse redness.

Spider veins and reticular veins on the legs

Laser may treat fine blue, purple or red veins and selected reticular veins. A 2025 systematic review considers long-pulsed 1064 nm Nd a useful option for leg telangiectasias and reticular veins up to 3 mm in diameter. This does not mean every vessel up to 3 mm can be treated successfully or in a single session.

Large, bulging veins or veins associated with pain, heaviness and swelling require vascular assessment before being treated as a purely cosmetic concern.

Cherry angiomas and selected vascular lesions

Some cherry angiomas and benign vascular lesions may be treated with laser after diagnosis and assessment. A new, rapidly changing, bleeding or undiagnosed lesion must be medically assessed before any cosmetic procedure.

Rosacea and diffuse redness

Rosacea involves more than visible capillaries. It can include diffuse redness, flushing, sensitivity and inflammation. LP Nd may help some prominent or deeper vessels, but is not appropriate for every form of rosacea.

For diffuse redness and more superficial vessels, also read about Dye-VL for melasma, pigmentation and redness . Treatment is selected after assessing vessel type and the skin concern.

How is LP Nd treatment performed?

01

Consultation and assessment

The specialist examines the area, vessel colour, diameter and depth, phototype, sun exposure, medicines, previous procedures and circulation symptoms. A small patch test may precede full treatment.

Mention blood thinners, photosensitising medicines, previous thrombosis, venous disease, abnormal wound healing or pigment changes. Do not stop any medicine without instructions from the prescribing doctor.

02

During the session

The area is cleaned, protective eyewear is provided and the applicator passes over selected vessels. You may feel warmth or a brief elastic-band-like snap. Sensation depends on the area, vessel diameter and individual sensitivity.

A session usually lasts around 20–30 minutes, although time varies with vessel number and extent. Immediately after a pulse, the vessel may darken, redden or temporarily look more noticeable.

Aftercare

Temporary redness, tenderness, mild swelling, purpura or bruising may occur. Fine crusts may form; do not pick or remove them.

Use sun protection and avoid strong sunlight, saunas, very hot baths and strenuous activity for the recommended period. Avoid irritating products until the area settles; do not rub, scratch or remove hair there. Contact the clinic for blisters, increasing pain, unusual swelling or any concerning reaction.

Who is a suitable candidate?

Treatment may be considered for people with visible capillaries, telangiectasias, spider veins or diagnosed vascular lesions who want a nonsurgical option. Suitability is assessed individually, particularly for darker phototypes or sun-tanned skin.

Treatment may be postponed or not recommended with active infection, open wounds, recent tanning, photosensitivity, certain medicines, pregnancy or conditions affecting healing. This list is not exhaustive; the decision follows consultation.

When is a vascular specialist needed?

LP Nd is a cosmetic treatment for small, selected vessels. It does not treat the cause of venous insufficiency. Seek medical assessment if you have:

Large, bulging or twisted veins, pain, heaviness, cramps and leg swelling require medical assessment. The same applies to colour changes around the ankles and slow-healing wounds. A leg that suddenly becomes swollen, red or painful needs urgent care.

Seek urgent medical care for sudden or severe symptoms.

LP Nd or another treatment?

LP Nd or Dye-VL?

LP Nd 1064 nm reaches deeper and may treat larger or deeper vessels. Dye-VL uses narrow-band light and may suit diffuse redness, very superficial vessels and some pigmentation concerns. The choice often depends on vessel colour, depth and diameter, rather than the diagnosis name alone.

Laser or sclerotherapy for spider veins?

Sclerotherapy may be the standard or more practical treatment for some leg veins. Nd laser offers an alternative for selected small veins, difficult-to-inject cases or where the specialist considers it preferable. Clinical reviews report comparable effectiveness in certain cases, but laser discomfort may be moderate and sclerotherapy may be quicker for some veins.

LP Nd or ClearLift?

LP Nd and ClearLift are different treatments. LP Nd targets blood vessels; ClearLift mainly supports non-ablative renewal, texture and collagen stimulation. This distinction helps avoid confusion about the term Nd.

Frequently asked questions about LP Nd

What is LP Nd 1064 laser?

It is a long-pulsed 1064 nm laser used to heat selected blood vessels in a controlled way, aiming for gradual closure and fading.

What does LP Nd treat?

It may treat visible capillaries, telangiectasias, spider veins, some reticular veins and selected vascular lesions. Diagnosis and vessel size determine suitability.

Can it be used on the face and legs?

Yes, with different settings for each area. Facial and leg vessels have different characteristics and need individual assessment.

Is laser capillary treatment painful?

Warmth or a brief snapping sensation may occur. Applicator cooling helps comfort, but sensitivity differs between individuals.

How long does a session last?

Usually around 20–30 minutes, depending on the number, size and location of treated vessels.

How many sessions are needed?

The number varies. Some vessels may respond after one session, while larger areas or more resistant vessels may need several.

When are results visible?

Vessels may initially darken or redden, then fade over the following weeks. Response time depends on the vessel and area.

Is there recovery time?

Most patients continue daily activities, but temporary redness, swelling, purpura, bruising or crusting may occur. Follow clinic instructions for activity and sun exposure.

Do capillaries return after laser?

Treated vessels may fade for a long time, but new vessels can form. Genetics, hormones, sunlight and circulation contribute.

Does LP Nd treat varicose veins?

It does not treat venous insufficiency or large bulging veins. These require vascular assessment and may need Doppler ultrasound or other treatment.

LP Nd or Dye-VL for rosacea?

It depends on redness and vessel type. LP Nd may help deeper vessels, while Dye-VL may suit diffuse redness and superficial vessels. Assessment determines the choice.
